The village dates back to 1230 and thanks to some restrictions due to the lack of roads, the place seems to have stopped in time.

In addition to traditional rowboats, special vessels with very quiet electric motors are also used here.

In total, the village has 55 miles of waterway, which can also be traversed by kayak.
