    Prepare the cleaning agent yourself

The stores offer a variety of chemical agents designed to help you do the job. To be more eco-friendly, however, you can prepare such detergent yourself. Mix water, pure alcohol and vinegar in 1:1:1 ratio.

For example, you can fill a third of a spray bottle with each of the ingredients. Although the smell is really strong, it can easily handle any kind of dirt.

To wash the frames (be that wooden or plastic ones) you only need warm water with a bit of washing-up liquid. For more stubborn dirt you might need some cream cleaner.

    Remove all the water

If you live in a small apartment, you can use paper towels to wipe the windows clean. If there are more windows, though, you can go for newspapers (without any full-color images) and a shower squeegee. Remember that the squeegee has to start wiping from a dry spot, for example the top edge of the window.
