Charming Succulents That Look like Roses. Looking Gorgeous All Year Long!

Greenovia Dodrentalis and Greenovia Dyplocycla are fantastic rare succulents native to the Canary Islands. Their shape resembles roses. In moderate climate they remain open from fall till spring and close the bud for the summer protecting itself against moisture loss.

These succulents do not require a dedicated succulent soil medium – they can grow on regular one. The prefer slightly dump soil but they definitely can’t be overwatered, especially in the summer when they hibernate. Repot them every 2 – 3 years.

Greenovia Dondrentalis propagates by seedlings. However, roots won’t develop if the seedlings were taken during its hibernation.

The yellow flowers appear in the spring on stiff stalks up to 25 cm long.
