Sketch Studio Turns Plastic Waste Into Designer Objects. Put a Price on it!
Although the first plastic bag was created 55 years ago, most people can no longer imagine shopping without it. And unfortunately, such a net, which takes a dozen or so minutes to produce, spreads over 500 years.
Plastic Invasion
The plastic flooded the ground. Every year, almost 13 million tons of this raw material is deposited in the oceans in the form of bottles or other objects. It has a negative impact on marine life. In March 2019, waves threw a dead whale onto the Philippine beach. In his stomach, 88lbs of plastic waste was found.
New Technologies at Breakthroughs
The Dutch studio The New Raw, with the good of our planet in mind, declared war on the global plastic. The architects working there started to use 3D printing to turn trash into aesthetic furniture and gadgets.

Praise for Recycling
The founders of the studio (Foteini Setaki and Panos Sakkas) want to prove to the residents that it is possible to recycle plastic and that an ordinary carbonated beverage bottle can be transformed into an original decoration that can be displayed in the living room. Many Dutch cities have already supported this noble initiative and are happy to place futuristic benches produced by the studio in their public space.
Dog Rests on a Recycled Bench
They have a streamlined shape, a mounted bicycle stand (you can also tie your boat to it) and also serve as a tree pot. After all, there is nothing more pleasant than resting on a bench in the shadow of trees. 😉
Bench With Bike Stand
A few years ago the studio also started cooperation with Coca-Cola. This concern produces about 120 billion plastic bottles annually. From over 125 st (800 kg) of waste, 3D printed chairs were created.
