Her slogan is, "You can't turn the clock back, but you can turn it back again." The feisty senior dared to change her life and underwent a surprising metamorphosis.

Her Daughter, the Influencer of Change
Joan MacDonald is now 75 years old and lives in Ontario, Canada. Exactly 5 years ago she decided to completely change her life. At the time she weighed almost 198 lbs and suffered from high blood pressure, acid reflex, had trouble climbing stairs and her ankles swelled regularly. In addition, she constantly felt tired. One day her daughter Michelle visited her and, with tears in her eyes, declared that Joan had to change something in her life. Otherwise, her health would deteriorate drastically, she would have to take even more medication and would eventually need constant care.
Fullness of Happiness
First Steps at the Gym
The senior decided to leave her comfortable couch and finally get active. She learned how to use an iPhone, bought a kitchen scale (to control her food), a tape measure and joined a gym. It was very hard at first, but while exercising, many people cheered her on, and Joan never threw in her towel and continually worked on her fitness.

Medication is Abandoned
Within 4 years she lost over 60 lbs, regained her physical fitness and definitely improved her health (she stopped all the medications and her bad cholesterol levels decreased). Despite her age, Joan doesn't give up and she posts motivational videos of her workouts on social media. She would never want to go back to her old lifestyle again and aims to lift heavier and heavier dumbbells 😉 .
Stronger that Ever
A Set Weekly Plan
Joan works out 5 days a week and spends the weekend relaxing. She does strength training which includes: 2 sessions for legs, 2 sessions for upper body and 1 session for buttocks. She also practices yoga and eats 5 meals a day and consumes dietary supplements regularly. Her story shows that age is indeed just a number and it is never too late to make changes in your life. The most important thing is the right motivation, regularity and someone who will keep supporting you during the metamorphosis. The rest will come with time 😉 .
