Upcycled Sweater Slipper Boots

Give your old sweater a second life and transform it into cozy and warm slippers!
The chiller it gets the greater is the need for something cozy and warm. And since last days here in Europe were extremely cold, I started to dream obsessively about wooly slipper boots. A quick glance at prices in shops assured me that there's no other way than to make my own.

Ok, but where to start? I’m not a prodigy when it comes to knitting and crocheting, so the only solution for me is to upcycle items from my wardrobe (I’ve already made these smart and quick Fingerless Gloves Out Of Socks) Did a bit of searching and here it comes - a perfect idea from Jen of DrawingsUnderTheTable! All I need to do is to cut out soles from the thick part of the sweater, then stick my feet into sleeves (totally up for it!) to prepare the leg parts. Finally, very basic blanket stitching and I’m done :)

If this seems to be your kind of project too and you’re willing to give it a try, do let us know how it goes on our fan page. Would you decorate your slippers or just leave them plain? Any ideas for a thicker sole? Don’t be shy and write to us!
