Unfortunately, some people, going away, leave their brains at home. Their only priority is to take as many stunning photos as possible so that there is something to show off. Shooting them, they don’t care about monuments or nature at all. See the gallery and find out how irresponsible some people can be.
#1 A visitor wanted to have a selfie with an 18th century statue of St Michael. Unfortunately, he went one step back too far and knocked it off onto the floor. Everything happened in a museum in Lisbon
#2 Tourist on a beach in the south of Spain noticed a small dolphin. Of course they immediately decided to take a photo with it. Unfortunately the animal died because of the stress it suffered. The emergency service arrived 15 minutes later
#3 This is what a Margate beach in Great Britain looked like after a ‘tourist invasion’. As you can see, nobody felt like picking up their garbage
#4 In an eco-park in Sichuan, China, in June the lotus flowers begin blooming. This when Chinese tourists storm into the fenced-off area to get the flowers. The fence is hardly an obstacle for some of them
#5 A 15-year old boy from China curved his name on one of the bas-reliefs in the Amon temple, Luxor. The temple is well over 3,000 years old
#6 This rock formation used to be Oregon’s landmark. However, access there has been limited, due to its reduced stability. Of course it’s all because of tourists, who would breach the fence and cause the rocks to fall apart. Yes, everything while trying to take some ‘nice pics’
#7 A couple of tourists, while exploring the Yellowstone National Park, spotted a young bison who wandered off its family. Without any hesitation they brought the poor animal into their car so that ‘it could warm up’.
After the incident the bison had to be put down
#8 Another Portuguese statue that fell prey to thoughtlessness. A 24-year-old man climbed onto the pedestal with the statue of King Sebastian The First. Unfortunately, the statue fell off the pedestal and got shuttered. It was almost 130 years old
#9 During a snorkeling lessons in waters near Bali, one of the trainees damaged some of the coral reef
#10 A bamboo forest in Kyoto, Japan, is damaged on regular basis. Tourist, for fun, damage the bamboo trees that have to be cut down as a consequence
#11 In Liangshan, one of Chinese prefectures, in the spring azaleas begin to bloom. Unfortunately, for some tourists photos are not enough. Some of them break off the branches and there are some who will use them to have bonfires
#12 The hot springs in the Yellowstone National Park (USA), turned green-yellow (they used to be blue). It’s all because of tourists who would throw stones and coins in there. That was supposed to bring them good luck…
#13 Two Indonesian tourists damaged 15 sculptures in the La Venta Museum in Mexico. They poured some oil all over the monuments, which date back to 1,000 BC
#14 Costa Rica has got a wildlife reserve for turtles, where they can lay their eggs. Unfortunately, tourists always appear there first and poor animals can’t reach their nests. Some people will even put their kids on the turtles!
