# Half a Century Together

Carolyn and Kelly Gay were married on March 12, 1971. The ceremony took place in the church in the city of Des Moines (Iowa, USA). Although half a century has passed since the wedding, the couple is still a successful and harmonious marriage. Over the years, fate has not spared them. Carolyn struggled with breast cancer, and Kelly underwent a kidney transplant.

# Unusual Photo Session

On their 50th wedding anniversary, the woman wanted to give her husband a touching surprise. She contacted a local photographer who recreated the couple’s wedding photos. Carolyn and Kelly once again stood before the altar of the same church. The American woman wore the same wedding dress.

Carolyn came up with the idea of a re-wedding session three years before their anniversary. During that time, she grew her hair to look similar to the wedding. The photographs look great and are a testament to their immense love.
