Professor Bill Podlich was an American lecturer who, together with his family, went to Afghanistan in 1967. He worked at a teacher training college in Kabul, in the field of social studies. In his free time he would often take photos to record everyday life of locals. Today it is difficult to believe that under the Taliban rule women walked freely outside wearing short skirts!
