With more and more people having a private pool in their gardens, a simple way to keep the water warm sounds like a really useful idea.
Say NO to cold water!
Of course swimming in cold water is hardly pleasant. With very changeable weather waiting till the sun warms calls for a lot of patience. Is there an eco-friendly way to solve this problem quickly, without resorting to electric heaters and paying extortionate electricity bills? Yes, there is. A hula-hoop!
To make a DIY pool heater you need:
• some hula-hoops (the larger the pool, the more of them)
• Large black plastic garbage bags
• Pool noodles
Put a hula-hoop into a garbage bag. Stretch it well all around the ring. Then divide the pool noodles into four parts. Cut each of them along to put it onto the hula-hoop. Each one will need two pieces of the noodle. If you want to secure a really good grip, use four pieces on each ring.
Heating system on
Put the DIY heaters into the pool. The black surface of the bags will warm up quite quickly and release the heat into the water. This smart trick solves a very serious problem, doesn’t it?
How to heat water in an inflatable pool?
You can also quickly and effectively heat the water in a small inflatable pool. Take a black garbage bag and spread it over the water. Wait for an hour and remove the bag.
