Such husband is a real treasure. Zack Nelson created for his handicapped wife a vehicle called ‘The Rig’ so that she could explore places previously inaccessible. This unusual ATV is based on two wheelchairs and can travel at 12 miles per hour.
But this is not the maximum velocity which is the greatest advantage of this invention. The best thing about The Rig is that it can reach spots that regular wheelchairs would never get to. The vehicle works so well that the couple are currently thinking of mass production. Hopefully more disadvantaged people will have a chance to explore as much as the couple can do now.
#1 As you can see , The Rig easily handles obstacles
#2 It also proves reliable on snow and unusual surfaces
#3 It is really easy to steer
#4 The Rig is battery-powered and it works really quietly. One battery life is enough to cover up to 18 miles, depending on the terrain characteristics
#5 Most of the frame is made of aluminum, and wheels come from two mountain bikes
#6 The design of the vehicle makes it easy to be carried in the trunk and go through most of entrance doors
#7 The estimated launching retail price of the vehicle is $3,750
#8 The Rig handles even boggy grounds
#9 Sand also doesn’t seem to be an issue
#10 The maximum weight it can carry is 220 pounds
