This time, let it be your favorite photo which you can copy onto a larger canvas, creating in this way a unique image that is bound to end up on the living-room wall.
The things you need:
• a photo printed on paper (size 40 x 40 cm for example),
• a proper kind of canvas,
• gel medium,
• a paintbrush,
• a sponge.
Keep all the things at hand. Print the photos, spread the canvas in front of you and get the tools ready
Apply the medium on the canvas
Do it carefully, leasing no spacer or edges clear
Time for the best part; first put the photo next to the canvas to see if everything is right
Then place it on the canvas, wait until you feel that the gel glue will penetrate the paper. You need to wait until it’s wet
Of course you need to remember about the edges – they have to be covered with the photo, too. Nothing will come off later on
The priority now is to prevent any wrinkles and bubbles. Everything must be perfectly smooth
Now leave everything for 24 hours
It’s time for the sponge. Slightly soak it with water and rub the Picture with it. It works something like decoupage
Don’t worry about the excess paper. Be gentle and the final effect will be stunning
