A cardboard plane is an alternative to the paper ones we all know so well. If you have never seen one, it's high time you made it!
To make a cardboard plane you need the following:
• a piece of cardboard, 25x30 cm,
• a pencil,
• a wall-paper knife,
• glue,
• a good quality rubber-band,
• a screw,
• a hot-glue pistol and
• 2 button batteries
Step 1
Draw the shape of the fuselage of the plane, approximately 20 cm long. Mark the spots to attach the rubber band and the slots for wings (6 cm), as well as the stabilizer.
Draw the tail stabilizer – its width in the center has to be the same as the slot in the tail.
Step 2
With the wallpaper knife cut out the fuselage and the wing.
Step 3
Cut the slot for the wing and the tail stabilizer
Step 4
Draw the wing of the plane, 20 cm long and 6 cm wide in total.
Step 5
Cut the wing out with the wallpaper knife.
Step 6
Attach the wing and the tail.
Step 7
Use the glue to fix the elements.
Step 8
Stick the two button batteries with hot glue on both sides of the nose of the plane.
Step 9
Fix the rubber band onto the screw.

Try the plane out!
