The first and most important rule is to act quickly when you notice bird poop stains. The longer you delay, the more likely it is that they will stick to the furniture even more. The first thing you need to do is scrape off the excess droppings (dry or wet) with a knife or spoon.

Later, remove the droppings with commonly available household products.

    # Brush and Detergent

The easiest technique to remove bird droppings stains, is to brush the soiled area thoroughly. Pour lukewarm water into a spray bottle and add some laundry detergent. Apply the mixture to the stain and start scrubbing with a hard-bristled brush (an old toothbrush will also work if you don't have a toothbrush with bristles). Take care to do this so that you don't smudge the stain even more. When you're done, use a garden hose to rinse off the furniture.

    # Use Hydrogen Peroxide

If it looks like the stain won't come off the furniture easily, baking soda should help here. Make a paste of baking soda and water and apply it directly to the stain. Leave it on for a few minutes. (note: when working on wooden furniture, make sure to act quickly because baking soda can damage the wood).

    # Using Washing up Liquid

Another simple way is to use a mixture of dishwashing liquid and water. Combine 1 tablespoon of dishwashing liquid with 2 cups of water. You can use a spray bottle to spread the mixture or simply pour it on the stained area. Then, with a clean cloth or paper towel, wipe away the stain.

    # If Nothing Else Works - Bleach

For the most stubborn stains, sometimes there is nothing else left to do but to use bleach. Prepare a solution based on bleach and cool water. Apply the solution directly on the stain using a clean sponge. Leave it in this state for at least half an hour and then remove the residue with a sponge.
