Lemon as a Brightening Agent
The next time you squeeze some lemon juice into your lemonade, be sure to save the peel. Cut it into smaller pieces and put it in the dishwasher. You can also slide in the peel directly on the crates from half a lemon is better, use the parts that separate the plates.
The best place for it, however, is in the cutlery basket. Instead of lemon peels, orange peel is also ideal. When you place the lemon peels in the dishwasher, simply turn it on as always on any program. With the help of the peels, the dishes will be shiny, disinfected and exceptionally clean. In addition, the dishwasher will smell more pleasant!
After a few washes, the peels can be thrown away. When you use up another lemon in the kitchen again, instead of throwing it in the bio waste, use it in the dishwasher first. You will see the difference in dishes washed with lemon.
Orange Peel Cleaner
You can use orange peels at home in many ways. One of them is to make an eco-friendly cleaning liquid yourself. Place the peels from 2-3 oranges in a jar. Then pour vinegar over them and set them aside in a cool and dark place for about 2 weeks. After this time, strain the concoction and dilute it with water in a ratio of 1:1. Finally, pour it into a spray bottle. Homemade cleaning liquid is ready!
Cleaning the Microwave with Lemon
Lemon is ideal for cleaning microwave ovens and cutting boards.
Pour water into a bowl and put a few lemon peels in it. Then place the whole thing in the microwave and heat on maximum power for about 5 minutes. After this time, you can proceed to clean the stove. The lemon water will soften food residues and help remove any dirt.
Lemon is a great disinfectant. Use half of the fruit to regularly wipe all the cutting boards you use. If the boards are dirtier, you can sprinkle the lemon with salt. After a few minutes, rinse off the juice and salt with water.
