Amy Jandrisevits is an American artist who worked as a social assistant in pediatric oncology unit. One day she came up with an idea.

Dolls with a special mission

The woman started creating dolls for handicapped children as well as those with rare medical conditions. The toys look like their young owners. Some of them have got artificial legs, others have got various scars. Thanks to these dolls the children do not feel like they aren’t much different from the rest of the world. Moreover, they help them understand the world better, handle stress and get on with their peers. The kids win far more self-confidence and realize that they are special.

Amy does her best to make the doll resemble its future owner. She has learnt how to make fake scars and marks.
The toys costs $100 including delivery. Amy also raises funds so that she can make the toys and deliver them free of charge for the children in need.
