IKEA furniture is quite cheap and commonly available. You can assemble the pieces yourself and, most importantly, the furniture design allows for a lot of creativity when it comes to matching the pieces or converting. All you need to give an old cabinet a brand new look is a bit of paint and new handles. Take a look at how spectacularly IKEA furniture could be redone.
#1 Everybody knows the LACK table. Cut a hole in the middle, fill it with soil and get some plants. Doesn’t it look original?

#2 With FROSTA stools you can design some shelves for your cats so that they jump all over it like it was a tree

#3 Two DUKTIG doll beds put together make up a fine cat bed

#4 KALLAX is just a plain white shelving. Unless you fill it with some bowls and wicker baskets to turn it into a cute cat’s house

#5 If you have two or three KALLAX pieces, put them right on the floor to form a corner seat for example

#6 BEKVÄM spice holder can be used in a number of ways. Placed anywhere it can be a plant shelf or a sunglasses rack

#7 Give the MOPPE chest of drawers some solid handles and paint it. That’s how you get a completely new piece of furniture

#9 The wooded STOCKHOLM cabinet looks totally different thanks to new legs and the golden stripes

#10 Green paint and new handles turned the HEMNES chest into a really original piece

#11 This is how you can change the MALM bed into something rustic

#12 The LUSTIG shelf, painted black and white, looks great with toys

#13 To make good use of the space in a narrow hall, buy two HEMNES cabinets, put them next to each other and join them with a wooden top

#14 Two wooden tops converted the VITTSJO table into a small drinks cabinet

#15 Apart from new brass handles, an oak top and conical legs, the TARVA chest of drawers also got its front repainted

#16 The book ends make wonderful plant holders
