Xomatok, an artist from Peru, together with a bunch of citizens of Lima, decided to paint prismatic patterns on steps going up the hills of the city. They are influenced by the blankets hand-made by Andean craftsmen.

This is what the effects of their work look like.

You can clearly see them from afar

They climb up the hills like snakes

And they are all amazingly colorful

You can see them mainly in the poorer pars of the city

There is no way you will mistake them with anything else

Sometimes they look like a TV screen that needs more sharpness

Each pattern is influenced by traditional folk clothes

    The colors are unbelievably juicy

This classic Andean pattern is their distinctive feature

    Something rather modern

Compared to the grey buildings around them they look so radiant

If there are steps like that in your neighborhood, would you like them to be painted this way?
