A tangled pile of cords and cables never looks good. But there is hardly anything you can do about when you have to plug in your laptop, phone charger, loudspeakers and the screen. Or even two, Of course you need an extension cord. However, even in this seemingly down-to-earth situation you can go for something original. This designer cord will make you feel proud of all the cables under your desk!

A designer extension cord puts an end to the problem of horribly tangled cables.

David Okum, a Los Angeles based designer, created something to suit all tastes. At first glance it doesn't look like extension cords that we know. A few cute blocks of wood make you think more of the blocks we used to play with in the kindergarten. The pastel cord consists of cubes with sockets and decorative wooden balls that apart from looking good prevent cables from getting tangled. This colorful gadget is a great alternative to standard black or white cords.

How come that someone invented such a pretty substitute of extension cords? It all started in David's workshop while he was redecorating it. Everything was a mess and all t he cables formed one huge shapeless chunk of wires. As a result, David decided to buy another model but he did not find anything he actually wanted. That is why he decided to create something original – his own extension cord.

With his model, as many as three appliances can be plugged in. One of the best functionalities is the fact that the cubes rotate enabling you to use a variety of plugs. The cord costs $79 and is available in the designer's online store.

What do you think about this extension cord? We like it a lot though the price is a little bit too high. But, on the other hand, aren't beautiful things worth their price?
