Apart from the legal codes, there are some simple rules that could easily make this world a nicer place to live. Of course as long as all of us followed them. If you ask Internet users what they think about them, their responses will be often more than surprising. These traditional rules are really important to many of us.
#1 Heat and sweat
‘Don’t forget to use deodorants before you hang out with many people.’
#2 Having a meal
‘Close your mouth while chewing’
#3 Supermarket shopping
‘Put the trolley away’
#4 Sharing photos
‘When I show you a photo on my phone, don’t swipe to the next one. I may not want you to see it.’
#5 Personal space
‘If someone is wearing headphones and is clearly away from others, leave them alone.’
#6 Borrowing
‘Whenever you borrow anything, give it back in the same condition.’
#7 Garbage
‘Don’t drop rubbish anywhere you go.’
#8 Discounts
‘The fact that you know a person, does not mean that they owe you a discount wherever they work.’
#9 Escalators
‘Stay close to the rights side so that those in a hurry can take you over.’
#10 Order
“Have you been using something? Put it away so that other won’t have to look for it.’
#11 Pregnancy
‘Do not touch the abdomen of a pregnant woman. She might not be comfortable about it.’
#12 A lift
‘If someone offers to give you a lift, be ready before they come to pick you up. Making them wait will be rather inappropriate.’
#13 Guests, guests…
‘Never pay unexpected visits, Call them, text them or do anything to find out whether your visit won’t be a nuisance.’
#14 Trying on
‘When you try something on, put it away.’
#15 Loud videos
‘Don’t watch loud videos on your smartphone in a restaurant. This is really rude.’
#16 Public toilets
‘Keep public toilets clean like they were yours. At least be kind enough to flush.’
#17 Trekking
‘If you are going trekking, make sure you have your headphones. Other trekkers may not share your taste when you play it loud.
#18 Traffic manners
‘When someone lets you drive onto their lane, don’t forget to thank them.’
#19 Parking
‘Never occupy spots that are reserved for someone else.
#20 Personal space
‘Don’t take over space that is not yours. Everyone wants to seat comfortably.’
Which of the rules do you agree strongly with? Are there any you don’t quite follow?
