How to make decoupage Easter eggs

Step 1: if you have blown eggs, put them on a barbecue skewer and wrap rubber bands on the skewer on both sides of the blown egg. This will hold them still.

Step 2: to make decoupage Easter eggs choose serviettes with small patterns. They copy easily and it doesn’t get wrinkled.

Step 3: The pieces of serviette can be cut out with scissors or torn out with fingers. Tearing is much easier when the line along which we want to tear it our is marked with a dump brush. Water will soften the spots.

Step 4: Most serviettes have got three layers. For decoupage, you only need the one with the pattern.

Step 5: If a piece of serviette does not adhere well, soak it with water and it will come off easily.

#1 Cut out or tear out the patterns from the serviette

Remember: the smaller the pattern, the easier it is to copy it onto the egg.

#2 Put the pieces of serviette onto the egg and apply the white of egg with a brush

You can apply the white first and then stick the pieces. Still, you will have to apply the white once again.

#3 Leave the eggs to dry

The eggs can dry on the skewers, eggs can be put on a grill grate.

#4 The eggs can be ‘painted’ with the white once again

If you want to give the eggs a gentle shade, you can add some gold or silver coloring agent to the white of egg. But this must be really pinch, so that the serviette pattern won’t get covered.
You can also avoid the spots with patterns if you haven’t covered the whole egg.
The Easter eggs we have showed you were not painted with any toxic agents. However, the serviette paint might contain such hazardous substances. That is why we recommend that the eggs shouldn’t be eaten.
