Do you read books? Have you ever had a problem with a bookmark? Either you had none and had to use a scrap of paper, or you had to fold the corners. I remember at school we used to make some ugly, and truly boring ones and never used them again. It is funny how things turn out to be creative when you grow up.

As I read a lot and love the way my books clutter our apartment, it is also important what do I use to mark the pages. It is so hot outside that I don't have much energy for knitting or crocheting but as I need to work with yarns (I am a yarnoholic!), I decided to find a new but honestly easy, almost effortless project.

Those cute and fluffy Pom Pom Bookmarks with a full tutorial here made me smile to my books again. I dug out my old, vintage yarns I got from my Mom, and started making pom poms. I ended up with 20 of them, and now our cat is the happiest pet on Earth.
