Plaster Flower Votives

Use plaster to produce these flowery votives!
Plaster is a perfect material for manual arts as it can be relatively easily shaped and then when it hardens it can be worked with sandpaper. It’s not suitable for vases but still it can make a nice votive.

The plaster has already appeared on our website in Powder Plaster Candle Votives. They were simple and elegant. But now I’m in a mood for some summer designs in flowery shapes. Gabrielle form Design Mom has come up with a gorgeous Plaster Flower Votives centerpiece for a dinner party. I agree they look ethereal and dreamlike especially when arranged in a ‘bunch’ with dried flowers . Of course we have to remember that plaster isn’t a load-bearing material so it won’t be as solid as glass but maybe the fragileness of the flowers is their beauty.

Gabrielle assures that plaster is a fun medium to work in. Why don’t you have a try? As soon as you finish your votives feel free to share your work on our website.
