Plantable Felt Garden Box

Let your kids have fun growing their own felt vegetables!
Last year I helped my friend and I took part in lamb’s lettuce planting. I saw how tedious and long-lasting process it is to grow your own vegetables. It’s not so easy as it may seem. First, soil must be carefully prepared, and then comes planting and finally, cherishing the seedlings. Obviously the result is extraordinary as you put your own soul and heart in what you eat.

We still don’t have our own place for growing vegetables, but I’m going to engage my children in the planting process this year. To familiarize them with the idea of growing vegetables I used Katie’s (from Beautiful Mess) project for Plantable Felt Garden Box. The kids have fun playing their felt vegetables, they even cooked a veggie soup for me.

Before growing goodies in your garden, you can teach your children about the whole process. Don’t forget that you can also plant a bed of flowers using Paper Flower or Pom Pom Flowers projects.

Be creative and sew as many vegetables and flowers as possible. Show the pictures of your kids’ gardens below.
