Photo Tile Coasters

Combine family photos and tiles into the brilliant gift idea.
Some conversations in our family are repeated endlessly. We need, we have to, we want to, do something with the old B&W photos, which are in both our families, is one of them. For the next generations to know where they come from, as gifts for members of our families, and simply for decoration, because they are beautiful.

While surfing in the internet in search for an inspiration, that’s the kind of addiction already, I found the Photo Tile Coasters detailed tutorial from Du Buh Du Designs site. These really amazing tile coasters with such a detailed tutorial made me eager to try it as soon as we gather the most precious pictures from our families’ homes. Unfortunately, we do not have Kinkos, but I actually DO hope it would be possible to do it in our Copy Centres since the author of this beautiful D.I.Y. project states that all the smallest details, like texture and thickness of copy paper, are important.

The Photo Tile Coasters are presented as a gift idea, and although it cost the author and her husband a lot of an effort and the mistakes necessary to perfect the technique, she shared it with us, which is priceless, I think.

Feel free to share the photos of your coasters with us.
