Ombre Spoons Mirror

Take on an unusual, plastic spoon project.
There is something special in Ombre colors that attracts me to each project that uses this type of shadowing. You can find lots of them on Pinterest, D.I.Y blogs and websites generally devoted to design. One day I will show you how to make an amazing, Ombre crochet pendant, but now I am totally stunned with this Ombre Spoons Mirror made by Addicted 2 Decorating Kristi which she calls “A Decorative Chrysanthemum Mirror” because of its color.

She put a lot of work into this project as the quantity of those spoons seems to be never ending story... Follow her tutorial carefully, because she also gives some tips on how it could be done even better (learning from her own mistakes with the first mirror).

When I look at this work I like the colors, and the simple technique to make this Ombre effect, also the surface made by layered spoons. It will be a good idea to use it with other projects. As always I recommend you to be creative and change something, using the original work as an inspiration. I am going to, first of all: make it square, second: glue my spoons conversely, and last but not least use red shadowing to make it warm and sunny.

Should you have any other ideas, please share it with me on Handimania’s fan page.
