No-Sew Sock Snowman

Upcycle some white socks and create this adorable, frotte winter guy.
You may say it is nothing. Just an ordinary Sock Snowman. Neither it is a real beauty nor very complicated project to make. Although all the above is true, up till now it is my favorite tutorial and craft to prepare the video and pictures with.

The first thing I need to warn you about is that, though it may look like a perfect craft for kids, you will have to accompany them while they give their snowman the final look. You need to use not only pins, but also super glue, which both may occur a bit awkward to use for your little ones!

What you need:

  • Scissors

Supplies / ingredients:

  • Terry sock
  • Rice

Cut off the foot part of the sock just few inches before the heel. The foot part is going to be a hat later on.

…and this part is going to be the body!

Turn it on the left side before you tie the end with a thread.

We did it with children during an workshop in public library, where I work. The snowman was simple to do et was a resounding success ! We exhibited the results in the children sections and parents always ask me : how did you do this ? Thanks a lot for this video !
