Natural Room Scents

Mix herbs and spices with water and make decorative and refreshing scents!
It’s always better to use natural, homemade cosmetics, washing or cleaning liquids, like the Rosemary Mint Shaving Cream. Preparing them at home it’s not only trendy but it’s also a clever way to avoid chemical components in home care fluids.

Monica Matheny from The Yummy Life presents how you can prepare natural room scents only by adding fragrance, herbs and spices to simmering water! It’s a piece of cake and is an excellent solution for those who find commercially made scents too intense and artificial.

Use some gelatine: mix it with hot water, add some salt to avoid mould. You will get the homemade jelly air refresher, your scent will also last longer ;)

It depends on how “tight” and dense you want the jelly to be :) I use 1 big kitchen spoon of gelatine for 2 cups of water, and I use the gellatine powder, not flakes. I use rose and rosemary oil, sometimes some food coloring to make the mixture pink for rose scent, or green for rosemary – clear gellatine can get some yellowness as it dries on the air and sun. It’s good to keep your scents moistured, I mist them with water while I water my plants ;)
