Mermaid Tail Crochet Blanket
Well, this is something we like writing about a lot. The creative mom named Susan, running the even more creative blog called "Felted Button." Her little daughter inspired her to crochet something amazing. Since we always say, you can crochet everything, why not making this awesome "Mermaid Me Blanket"!?
As soon as Simon noticed it on the web, he decided for me to make the same fairy tale gadget, for our little daughter. She doesn't have a specific interest in any tale character yet as she's too small but, I must admit I would happily grab my hook to crochet this tail even for myself!
Although this pattern is available to buy only, I wouldn't hesitate even for a minute to buy it, as I believe there are some knitting and crochet patterns worth every penny to spend. Susan made a wonderful job designing it, and we appreciate she showed it to the world. Have you seen our other cute yarn stuff we presented some time ago? This Giant Wool Blanket or Sweet Turtle Crochet Mini Blanket for infants? The Mermaid Tail Blanked created by Susan Carlson would fill the collection of extraordinary crafts you surely save in your browser.
Hope you'll not be afraid of the level as Susan says it only looks complicated, but the motif itself is basic. The only technique here that can cause some problems is joining-as-you-go. Try to experiment with yarns and colors (the pattern includes yarn substitutes) and show off with your work either on our Facebook group: Handimaniacs or on "Felted Button" website. We can't wait to start crocheting as well a to see what you've done! Feel free to share it with us!
