People make such an amazing stuff with paper that sometimes it is unbelievable. We tend to consider paper as thin, easy-to-hump material that the only thing we can make with it, is papier mâché. Have you already read about Magical Paper Cut Light Boxes made by Deepti Nair and Harikrishnan Panicker. They used quilling here too. These Paper Carvings seem almost impossible to make, but yet people are awesome and do such incredible, light craft.
Quilling starts with rolling a strip of paper into a coil and then pinching the coil into shapes that can be glued together. There are advanced techniques and different sized paper that are used to create 3D miniatures. We love how this technique evolved from simple flowers to many other shapes.
The hot air balloon and Violins by extremely talented Sena Runa, are our favourite among her arts, but all of them attract our attention and make us wanna try this paper craft technique too. Make sure you check her works on her site!
