Bird Droppings Can Do Irretrievable Damage to Your Car’s Paint. We Know How to Get Rid of Them without Scrubbing
Bird droppings are nightmare of many drivers. I have got this problem, too. Unfortunately, the poops are strong enough to dissolve the car finishing and cause corrosion.

Personally I believe that older cars’ finishing is a bit more resistant to birds excrements. Who knows, it might be just my impression. Either way, the truth is that bird poops are really bad for our cars’ paint if they are left there for too long.
If we don’t do anything about them, you might be in big trouble. What you must not do is to leave your car under some trees for a week or two, for instance when you go away on holiday (hopefully we all get some holiday this year!)
The best thing to do is to remove the bird gifts once they are fresh. You can do it with a normal tissue or a wet one, the one you use to clean babies. We can also remove them with a bit of water or window cleaner.
It’s not so easy when the poop is dry. Tissues will be useless and scrubbing is a very bad idea. You definitely need some water then. However, if this is really dry and solid, water won’t do either.
What you have to do then is to soak it for several minutes using old newspaper or soaked tissues. Pour some water over the spot, cover it with paper and pour some water again so that the paper is well-soaked.
Leave it there for 20 minutes. Then remove everything.
Water alone works best at first. You need to be careful with chemicals as you never know how they will affect your car’s finishing.
Even if you are going to a car wash, first soak the poop so that it will come off more easily there. You will be sure that once you leave the car wash, your vehicle will be perfectly clear.
