Why Are There No Changing Table in Men’s Toilets? Some Fathers Are Really Upset about It and Look For Alternative Solutions

Stereotypically, it is women who looks after children. As a result, changing tables are always available in ladies' toilets only. How about daddies who are looking after their babies and need a place to change the diaper?
Without the table
There are plenty of fathers who share their stories online. They all believe that the fact there are no changing tables in their public toilets is unfair. Last but not least it's not only mothers who take their children for a walk.
So the question is what should a man do when he has got to change his son’s or daughter's diaper? Burst into ladies' toilet? Sit on the toilet floor in the gentlemen's lavatory? All the stories below show fathers trying to solve the problem somehow.
On the floor
Four years ago, Chris Boneyard Mau's daughter was only 8-months old. While they were on a walk he realized he had to change her diaper. he entered the nearest restaurant hoping that the toilet will have the changing table. Unfortunately, the toilet for boys had only a washbasin, a urinal and a toilet bowl. So he just spread a towel on the floor, put his baby on it and changed the diaper. The whole situation annoyed him a lot. We talk so much about equal right but it is just women who are still socially assigned the job of upbringing.
On my lap
Donte Palmer's story is quite similar to the one above. Together with his family he went to a restaurant to have dinner. Of course after some time his son’s diaper had to be changed. So the man took him to the toilet and, as you can guess, there was no changing table. So he decided to do it on his lap. As he is used to this problem, he always asks his older son to help him with it.
Breaking into the ladies' toilet
Another American daddy, Muhammed Nitoto, explained that he always takes his daughters to the ladies' toilet. He believes they are cleaner then the gentlemen's and, of course, the changing tables are always there. He always found it uncomfortable to change his kids diapers inside the men's toilet. They would always slam the door and the only changing table he found was right next to a urinal. He admits that whenever he enters the ladies' toilet he knock to find out if there is anybody in and if the women inside mind him coming in with his daughters.
