What could you possibly do with old CDs you no longer need? Last but not least their shimmering colors appeal to quite a few.
Their aesthetic value was appreciated by Sean Avery, an Australian artist, who chose CDs to be his favorite material. The final effect is astounding, no matter the angle at which you admire the colors.
The artist uses kitchen scissors to cut desired shapes out of CDs and then arranges the pieces according to their shape and color. Then he glues them upon a wire mash to create the feather-like effect.
Normally one piece takes him approximately a week, though sometimes this could be longer. The products can be admired below.
