Haworsia cooperi (Haworthia cooperi) Is a succulent native to southern africa, but also found in the southern united states.
It does not reach a sizable size. Haworsia is rather quite low and when it does, it spreads outwards, not upwards. Its single leaves are about 2 inch high.
Like any succulent they require a suitable succulent medium with adequate drainage at the bottom of the pot.
The pot itself should be rather wide and flat. This succulent does not produce deep roots. And wide - because the plant grows sideways.
The succulent blooms, but its flowers are not a special ornament. Often the first flower appears only after a few years.
Haworsia should not be in a place directly in the sun.
In the first years, this succulent should be repotted every spring. After that, it only needs to be repotted every 3-4 years.
We can grow haworsia by dividing up during repotting. More experienced people can try to root its single leaf.
