Cycling paths do not have to be monotonous. The project you will see in a second allows the cyclists to experience nature while cycling literally through tree tops.
The project was created by a Belgium architecture studios BuroLandschap and DeGregorio & Partners
The track is in Limburg, in a municipal park called Bosland
The project is called ‘Cycling Through the Trees’ and it was opened in June 2019
It has the shape of a double circle with a diameter of 100 meters
While cycling you get elevated to the level of 10 meters over the ground
The whole track is 700 meters long
All the structure’s elements were designed to blend into the surrounding forest
Cycling along the track takes just a few minutes
There is a bike rental spot so even if you happen to be there without your own bicycle, that is not a problem at all
