An American woman from Portland display a great deal of extraordinary driving skills. She drove through a number of really unusual places ‘because her GPS told her to do so’. Finally she got stuck on stairs.

‘Because that’s what I saw on the display.’

The Portland police are too kind to reveal the details of the 26-year-old woman who a few days ago showed how much she trusts her navigation unit. As she was under the influence of some alcohol, perhaps this is why she trusted so much the device and drove across the police parking lot first, then for a small square for the police officers and finally ended up on the stairs which she hoped to let her get out of the police premises.

    A lesson of science

Thanks to fairly lenient local regulations the woman will get away with a fine and, like it or not, being the number one headline in the area for some time.

Most drivers have had an opportunity to discover themselves that GPS sometimes takes us to unusual places. So we end up in a forest in the middle of nowhere or on a path taking us a field of corn. In this case, however, I would rather blame the booze.
