You can approach art in a number of ways. For example, by building a painting using blocks!
From museum onto store shelves
It is by all means possible to connect painting and block-building. The 3d version of Van Gogh's 'The Starry Night' by Lego is a very good example. The man behind the project is Truman Cheng, a 25-year-old student. He won the contest announced by the Danish toy manufacturer, having won 10,000 votes. A fast path to bring the canvas from museum straight onto toy store shelves.

The set consists of 1,552 pieces plus a Vincent van Gogh mini-figure, holding a painting palette and a paint brush. With this set any fan of the blocks can create their own 3-D image of the Dutch painter’s work.
Painting and building
Truman Cheng admitted that putting on block on another made him think of the brush moves.
The author will receive 1% off the total sales of the set.
