A Man Befriends a Polar Bear. Together They Swim in a Pool

Mark Dumas (67) from Canada is a friend of Agee, a polar bear. This unusual couple spends lots of time together swimming and playing in a pool.

Mark lives with his family in a Canadian town called Abbotsford. At first he might seem to be a freaky elderly gentleman, but the truth is much different.

Mark Dumas is a person with a massive experience and knowledge about bears. He has been working with them for 40 years, and the female bear is definitely his favorite one.

Agee is 23 years old and she has been brought up by Mark since her early years. And this is why she behaves in a different way in comparison with other bears. First of all she is far less aggressive and more trustful. The truth being said it refers to Mark and his wife only.

The trainer got rid of the biting habit. Mainly for his own safety when they fool around.

It is said that Agee in fact has never tasted freedom. As Mark has always fed her, she doesn't know what it means to go food-hunting.

Thanks to her unusual education Agee has been a star of many films and documentaries as well as commercials. One might think that there is really some kind of true emotional bond between the bear and Mark,

The question is whether this bond is really worth the price paid by the animal. She has been in captivity for her entire life and the new habits are completely against her nature. Last but not least nobody asked her whether this is the life she wanted to live.
