A Kitten That No One Wanted Because He Was Born With Deformities, is an Instagram Star

It's a modern version of the ugly duckling fable - Midas was born atypical. He is a cat with double ears that make him look strongly unusual. Initially unwanted by no one, he is now taking Instagram by storm.

Midas is a few months old Russian Blue cat. His homeless mother gave birth to him and his six siblings in the garden of one of the houses in Turkey.

At first no one was too keen to take our hero in - because of his double ears. But there were people who did not mind.

A cat with double ears was finally adopted by Canis Dosemeci and her partner. They probably completely failed to anticipate what happened two months later.

One day Canis decided to create an instagram account for Midas. The popularity he has gained and is gaining among viewers has surpassed their wildest expectations.

Midas has had an account on Instagram for only a month, and already has nearly 70,000 followers. More are growing at an alarming rate (only at the time of writing this article he gained almost a thousand new ones!)

The kitten probably has no idea he's a star, but that's not what's important - what's important is that he's loved and happy, as you can clearly see in the photos.
