7 Examples of Child Images You’d Better Not Post Online

The rapid growth of social media resulted in more and more photos of kids published online by their parents. They show their everyday lives to the rest of the world and record their growth with utmost care. Of course there is nothing wrong in boasting about your offspring. However, in some cases publishing the images may have terrible side effects. The internet is full of dangers and you never know who’s on the other side.

Publishing a birthday photo where toddlers blow the cake candles and have loads of fun seems to be a normal thing to do. Still, you need to make sure that the parents of your child’s guests do not mind the fact that the image of their kids is being published.

Publishing too detailed information about your family life is not a good idea. Stop marking the images with their detailed location every single time you post something, be that a photo in a park or a restaurant. Do not publish your airport photos marking the exact date of arrival and/ or departure. This is nothing but an invitation for a burglar.

Whenever a photo goes online, you immediately lose control of it. You will never know what and how will use it. Photos of babies wearing a diaper only or one taking a foamy bath might end up somewhere with tones of illegal content. That is why you have to be really careful whenever you want to post an image.

Documenting and publishing every single moment from your child’ s life is not the best thing you can do. Each child has their ups and downs and showing them crying to the global audience does not really make sense. When your baby is ill, put the camera aside. This is when you have to look after them. You will take lots of pics once they get better.

A kid sitting on a potty might be charming for you. But when your child grows up, they may not be happy to see the picture somewhere online. Toilet is a very intimate place and the fact that thousands can see you could be really embarrassing for the one in question, causing a lot of unnecessary stress. Unfortunately, the Internet never forgets

The thing is that the school’s emblem clearly indicates where your child learns. In much the same way the photos should never show any details of the educational institution or logo of the sports team your child belongs to. The less information you publish, the more difficult it will be for the bad guys to identify your children.

Some parents make the child hold a cigarette or a bottle of beer. Such photographs seems amusing. For them. However, a person who does not know the details might perceive it as a proof of irresponsible and reckless parenthood.
