Mix vinegar and baking soda into a smooth paste. Spread it on the grout and wait about 20 minutes. Then rinse the paste with water. Vinegar and baking soda will do a great job on mold, greasy stains or pet urine.

Regular toothpaste will remove yellow staining from grout. Scrub the grout thoroughly and let it sit for at least an hour. After that time, remove the toothpaste with a cloth soaked in dishwashing liquid.

Mixcoarse salt with lemon juice. Mix until smooth and rub it into the grout with a toothbrush. Leave for 10 minutes and then rinse with water. Lemon will refresh the grout and restore its nice, white color. It will not, however, remove rust or hardwater deposits.

Baking powder will neutralize greasy stains, scale deposits and discoloration. First, moisten the grout with water and then apply the baking powder on it. Then wait about 30 minutes and use a damp sponge to remove the baking powder.

Vinegar has anti-fungal properties and will take great care of the grout in your kitchen or bathroom. Pour it into a bowl and add a tablespoon of dishwashing liquid. Apply the mixture on the grout. Use a spray bottle for this purpose. You can replace the washing-up liquid with lemon juice or your favourite essential oil. Let the mixture dry and do not wash it off the grout.
