Still, what you can take for granted is the fact that your safety is primarily up to you. If you are careless, you can fall prey to a thief even in a place with impeccable reputation. So before you set off, you had better carefully analyze all the safety issues. If you suffer from a life-threatening form of allergy, you really need to know the names of the critical ingredients in the target language. You can make a list of them on a piece of paper, save them somehow on your phone or use dedicated applications to translate them as you go.
