Burdensome, Dirty Problem
The toilet can be cleaned in many ways. However, not everyone wants to use highly invasive chemicals for this, because they do not consider them completely safe. After all, the toilet is a place that has a lot of contact with the most sensitive parts of our bodies. If you are one of these types of people, we have a solution for you. Instead of chemical detergents from the store shelf, you can use a product that you probably already have in your kitchen. It will be completely safe for the health of you and your loved ones.
Cleaning the Toilet with Homemade Means
What is the secret product in question? It is… yeast. Yes, it's about the same yeast that you use to bake cakes and various other delicacies. It turns out that they work great as a cleaning agent for toilets and, most importantly, as a way to get rid of bad odor. You'll be surprised at how quickly and efficiently they work.
All you need to do is heat a small amount of water in a pot or kettle. Then dissolve a teaspoon of yeast in it. The water must not be boiling. After you mix the whole thing, you will get a concoction that you just need to pour into the toilet. It is best to do this in the evening - so that the toilet water is not flushed for a long time and the yeast has time to work. When you revisit your toilet in the morning, you will notice that the bad odor that was previously floating around has disappeared. You may even be surprised at how much of a difference there will be if you have been struggling with this problem so far.
Unfortunately, using strong toilet cleaners again will kill the yeast, so the problem may return. That's why it is recommended to use them whenever there is a foul odor coming out of the sewer system. This is more often true for detached houses that have septic tanks.
Removing Bad Odor from Septic Tank and Septic System
If you have a septic tank and a bad odor has appeared in the bathroom, you can dissolve 3 packages of dry yeast in a jug of lukewarm water, wait for it to work and pour the whole thing into the septic tank. If you don't want to pour the concoction directly into the septic tank, you can pour it into the toilet, but then flush the toilet water a couple of times at once. This amount of yeast could clog the drain if it is already clogged with something.
