Nail Polish Hair Wreath

Create a subtle, charming decoration using an old nail polish!
I must admit that I definitely have too many nail polishes. I can’t resist when I see all these beautiful and crazy colors, and I always buy new one, even if I’m going to use it only once. This way I also have a huge amount of old and overdue cosmetics. I was wondering for a long time what could I do with old polishes...finally I found a great solution.

This simple idea comes from a very extensive Russian site “Livemaster”, the author - S. Kinyapina (unfortunately we couldn’t find her personal website) shows how to make little, adorable flowers with nail polish. Next, she shows a few ways to use these beautiful ornaments. You can create them as an addition to your hairstyle or as home decoration.

Can you explain how the nail Polish is supposed to cover the “hole”? Since the instructions are in Russian, I couldn’t understand this part of the process.

it’s a similar effect as with soap film – the liquid (that has to be a bit sticky, just as soap solution or nail polish) has a natural tendency to enclose the wire opening. It will adhere to the wire and form a thin membrane, giving you a petal

It’s like with rainbow bubbles and these plastic sticks with a plastic ring thereon. When you put the ring in the soap water there is a soap film in the ring and you can blow to get a rainbow bubble. HERE of course you don’t blow against the nail polish film to get a nail polish bubble xD but you let the nail polish film dry and then you have these fantastic flowers.

Nice work but if you start with clear nail polish you reveal the wire for added detail. If you want to see what can be achieved with practice please visit my Google page. I would be happy to pass on tips if you want.
