Dish Soap and Food Coloring Experiment

Use milk and food coloring to play with colors on a plate!
You should know how much we like experimenting. Some time ago we made one with Coke and Milk, it turned out really interesting and revealing, check it out! Back to the topic of our today project - we use fat milk, dish soap, and food coloring, the effect is stunning. It’s great fun for adults and kids. Dancing and mixing colors look amazing, it’s a great way to teach your kids something about density and other properties of the fluids. So it’s fun and science at once!

Don’t hesitate and try this at home, additionally you can do the same with fluid from glow sticks and then observe the effects in the darkness!

What you need:

Tools:

  • Plate
  • Dropper
  • Cotton buds

Supplies / ingredients:

  • Milk
  • Food coloring
  • Dish soap
